CARASSAUGA

CARASSAUGA
Est. 1986
The Carassauga Festival of Cultures is an annual multicultural event held in Mississauga, Ontario. Over the span of 2 days, various pavilions, all representing different countries, are featured throughout the city, each offering the public a glimpse into their unique culture through music, dance, cuisine, and more. Attracting hundreds of thousands of people every year, the festival is a great opportunity to embrace Canada's rich diversity with friends and family.

WHO ARE WE?
The Armenia Pavilion first started in Carassauaga in 2004, introduced by the St. Vartan Armenian Church and supported by dedicated members of the Armenian community in Mississauga and beyond. The pavilion ran each year until 2010, and after several years away, it was brought back to life in 2023 by a new generation of passionate volunteers.
Our mission is to preserve and promote the Armenian heritage by celebrating the stories, traditions, and values that have been passed down through the decades. Through powerful performances, authentic foods, handmade decorations, and warm hospitality, we aim to educate others on Armenia's rich history and unique identity.
The Armenia Pavilion is entirely powered by our volunteers. Carassauga has become more than just a festival for the Armenian community, but an opportunity to show the public who we are
